The Insurance Department of George Steuart & Company originally channeled its business to the Insurance Corporation of Sri Lanka with which the Group maintained links as an Institutional Agency. Following the expansion of its insurance activities and considering the extensive knowledge and experience gained in the varied facets of insurance during the intervening years, the organization decided to establish Steuart Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Ltd. to extend to clients a wide range of services made possible through the Company’s liaison with all leading insurance companies operating in Sri Lanka with whom it maintains an excellent business relationship, ensuring that clients receive the most competitive terms from dependable underwriters and re-insurers with proven claim-settlement ability. In a traditional and relatively competitive environment, Steuarts Insurance Brokers firmly believes in offering innovative solutions in the management of corporate risk.
